Cabonne Council water infrastructure has numerous structural issues which cause leakages and various water supply issues. To augment limited Council capital resources, the Urban Intelligence team through Premise and Purdon prepared an application to the National Water Grid Fund on the Council's behalf.
In the time available the team developed a National Water Grid Fund consistent ex-ante business case based on a range of options which had been agreed by Council. The rapid business case assessed high level benefits and costs from upgrading the water assets, including financial, economic, social and environmental impacts.
The assessment supported engineering and administrative data submitted for the grant application.
